Yesterday I made new kitchen curtains. I think they turned out cute. I had the fabric in my stash, so that's even better. The weird part was that I had dreamt about the fabric and making the curtains. I looked in my stash, sure enough...the fabric was there. I had just forgotten about it! lol Maybe this fabric diet thing is going to really be a good idea.
Another thing I am going to use my stash for is the Million Pillowcase Challenge. To read more about the challenge, you can go to the Shiisa Quilts site here. Janet at Shiisa Quilts has made up kits or you can just use your own fabric. I think this is a great cause!!!

Today we are supposed to get upto 3 inches of snow. I will believe it when I see it. What happened to the snows that we would get when I was a child? When it was possible to go sledding, build snowmen, snow forts...seems like those days are long gone.
Will continue working on the fairy quilt today. I hope it turns out as well as the Jesus/Magdalene wall quilt that I made a couple years ago!
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Just finished watching "Julie and Julia" with my dh. I LOVED the movie! It was so cute-a definite chick flick! I wonder if the book is as good as the movie? hmmmm....will have to check at the library and see if it's available.

starting anew....

To all those who had followed my previous blog...it has officially been cancelled and I have started anew. This was wayyy easier than trying to redo everything on it. One of my New Year's resolutions is to try to do a better job of blogging. I also have more things on my list... go on fabric diet-see if I can go ALL of 2010 without purchasing ANY fabric! (gasp, cough, gasp!), work on getting healthier, continue working on my family ancestry book, continue to learn new techniques in quilting and other crafts, and read, read, read more and watch less tv. Those sound like a good start to getting me back on track. So check back throughout the year and see how I do and help me to stay motivated. Let me know if I get off-track, lol!
